Chrome Extension Guide

Learn how to install, connect, and use the Cavi browser extension to autofill recruitment forms and scrape job postings.

What is the Cavi Extension?

The Cavi Chrome Extension connects your Cavi profile to any recruitment website. It can autofill application forms, scrape job postings, and fill specialized portals like Pracuj.pl and NoFluffJobs — all with one click.

How to Install

Download the extension

Go to Settings in Cavi and click the download button to get the extension ZIP file.

Unpack the archive

Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a folder on your computer. Remember this location.

Open Chrome Extensions

In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions and enable "Developer mode" in the top-right corner.

Load the extension

Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you extracted the ZIP file. The Cavi extension icon will appear in your toolbar.

How to Connect Your Profile

Open Cavi in a browser tab and make sure you are logged in.

Click the Cavi extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup.

Click "Load profile data" — the extension will read your profile from the active Cavi tab.

A green confirmation will appear when your profile is synced and ready to use.

Pracuj.pl CV Creator

Fills the multi-step CV creator with your profile data — personal info, experience, education, skills, and more.

NoFluffJobs Profile

Fills your NoFluffJobs candidate profile with contact details, experience, skills, and preferences.

Recruitify

Fills Recruitify application forms with your profile data.

Any website

Generic autofill detects form fields on any page and matches them to your profile data.

Extension Buttons

Load profile data

Connects to the active Cavi tab in your browser and syncs your latest profile data to the extension. You need an open Cavi tab to use this.

Fill this form

Scans the current page for form fields (inputs, selects, textareas) and fills them with matching profile data. Works on any website.

Fill CV creator (Pracuj.pl)

Specifically designed for the Pracuj.pl multi-step CV creator. Fills personal data, experience, education, skills, languages, and more.

Fill NFJ profile

Fills your NoFluffJobs candidate profile page with data from your Cavi profile.

Scrape job data

Extracts the job posting from the current page (title, company, description, requirements) and saves it to your Cavi job list.

Clear saved profile

Signs you out of the extension and clears all cached profile data from local storage. Use this when switching accounts or for privacy.

How Generic Autofill Works

The generic autofill analyzes each form field on the page to find the best match from your profile:

Reads field labels, names, placeholders, and surrounding text

Matches them to known profile fields (name, email, phone, city, LinkedIn, salary expectations, etc.)

Fills matched fields with your profile data and triggers change events so the form recognizes the input

Supports 28+ field types including personal data, contact info, work preferences, and skills

Troubleshooting

Profile not loading

Make sure you have Cavi open in another tab and you are logged in. The extension reads data from the active Cavi tab — if it is closed or not logged in, loading will fail.

Fields not being filled

Some websites use non-standard form implementations (shadow DOM, dynamic loading). Try clicking into a field first, then use the fill button. For React-based forms, the extension dispatches synthetic events.

Wrong data in fields

Verify your profile data in Cavi is correct and up to date. Reload your profile in the extension after making changes.

Extension not visible

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin the Cavi extension. Make sure Developer mode is enabled in chrome://extensions.
